§ 30-304. Discharging firearms.

  • (a)

    No person shall fire or discharge within the village any cannon, anvil, gun, pistol or firearm or set off, fire or explode any torpedo or firecracker, fireball, rocket or other fireworks or make or kindle any bonfire.

    (b)

    The discharge of firearms, the setting off or exploding of firearms and the making of bonfires upon national holidays and in the celebration of other public and general events, the discharge of blank cartridges by a military company when on parade and in command of the commanding officer, the discharge of firearms by any village officer or other person in the discharge of any legal duty when such discharge is done in such a manner as not to endanger the safety of any person or injure any property shall not be deemed a violation of this article.
