§ 20-134. Liability of village.

The village and the village fire department shall take every reasonable precaution to ensure that alarm signals that the fire department is dispatched to are given appropriate attention and are acted upon. The village and fire department shall not be liable for any defects in operation of alarm systems or alarm receiving systems, for any failure or neglect to respond appropriately upon receipt of an alarm from such source, nor for failure or neglect of any person in connection with the installation or operation of equipment, transmission of alarm signals and prerecorded alarm messages.
