§ 12-181. Minimum insulation R-values.

(a)

There shall be maintained the following minimum insulation R-values for all insulation installation:

(1)

Attic floor if attic is not used, roof if attic is used: R-30.

(2)

Exterior side walls: R-11.

(3)

Floor over unheated basement or crawl space: R-19.

(4)

Wall of heated basement: R-8.

(5)

Perimeter of house on slab, down to frost line or at least two feet down from slab: R-8.

(b)

The fee for installation of insulation for residential homes shall be as shown in the village fee schedule per $1,000.00 estimated cost of installation with a minimum fee of $25.00.
